America's Dad and Funny Man Bob Saget Dies at 65



Bob Saget, the actor-comedian known for his role as beloved single dad Danny Tanner on “Full House” and as the host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” was found dead in his hotel room in Florida this weekend, he was 65 years old.


An autopsy of Saget was performed in the early hours of January 10th, and Joshua Stephany the Chief Medical Examiner for Orange and Osceola Counties in Florida released the initial findings, "An autopsy was performed this morning on Robert Lane Saget.


"Mr. Saget is a 65-year-old male, who was found unresponsive in his hotel room. At this time. there is no evidence of drug use or foul play. The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete," the statement from Stephany read.

Jim Carrey said via twitter, "Beautiful Bob Saget passed away today at 65. He had a big, big heart and a wonderfully warped comic mind. He gave the world a lot of joy and lived his life for goodness’ sake. :’^}"


Former TV Dad Tim Allen said via Twitter, "Terribly sad news great friend, great comedian and wonderful man Bob Saget passed. Hit me hard. Prayers and my open heart to his family."


Saget's former co-worker John Stamos said he was broken about the news, "I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby."


Dave Coulier, who played Uncle Joey in Full House said, "My heart is broken. I love you, Bob. Your forever brother, Dave."


Saget was in the middle of a tour. He had performed at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville, Florida hours prior his passing.
