930. Town of La Ronge Councillor Melissa McNeil

Welcome to Cross Border Interviews.

Our goal is to create meaningful municipal conversations that inform, connect, educate and strengthen communities from coast to coast to coast in Canada.

For this edition of Cross Border Interviews, we sat down at the most recent SUMA Convention in Regina, with Town of La Ronge, Saskatchewan Councillor Melissa McNeil.

A vibrant town with a population of approximately 2,700 people located on the shores of Lac La Ronge, nestled next to Lac La Ronge Provincial Park (Nut Point) and apace to the beautiful Boreal Forest. It is the largest full-service community in Northern Saskatchewan.

The Northern Town of La Ronge closely neighboured by two other communities, the Northern Village of Air Ronge and the Lac La Ronge Indian Band. The three communities work in co-operation for a variety of regional services and residents benefit from the cross-use of facilities and the diversity of businesses within close proximity.
