As Yukon’s capital, Whitehorse is a small city, with a big backyard.

Beautiful, energetic and entertaining—this small city has all the makings of a big one.

Exciting outdoor adventure, live theatre, a variety of dining options, deep roots and riveting gold rush history—plus you don’t have to choose between cultural and outdoor experiences.

Known as the “Wilderness City”, Whitehorse has the great outdoors at its doorstep.

More than 700 kilometres of marked trails run along the river and out to picture-perfect lakes.

With natural beauty and a great personality, it’s easy to fall in love with Whitehorse.

A word of caution: the colourful mix of locals includes many who were once just visiting and discovered they were home.
