Today, we’re continuing our conversation around leadership in Saskatchewan, with a focus on women in municipal leadership.

We’re joined by three inspiring municipal leaders from communities across the province to talk about their experiences, the importance of diverse voices, and building the next generation of municipal leaders.

Today, we’re talking about women in municipal leadership, with three municipal leaders joining us from communities across Saskatchewan.

Joining us for today’s discussion are: From the Town of Kipling, Mayor Pat Jackson; From the City of Regina, Councillor Victoria Flores; and From the Town of Birch Hills, Councillor Kathy Evans.

Our roundtable will explore what it means to be a woman in municipal government, some of the challenges and opportunities around encouraging more women to run for office, and the important role that mentorship and networks can play in supporting and fostering the next generation of municipal leaders.

We’ll also talk about why having diverse voices around the council table matters — and how those different perspectives can help shape stronger, more representative communities.
