What Does Moe's Win Mean for Rural Municipalities?

Welcome to Municipal Affairs!

Today, we are heading to the Lands of the Living Skies, the Province of Saskatchewan

Scott Moe has led the Saskatchewan Party to a 5th Consecutive Majority Government, a feat that hasn't been accomplished since 1960 when the then-governing NDP under Tommy Douglas won a fifth Majority Government.

The results: 35 seats for the Saskatchewan Party, and 26 Seats for the NDP.

As rural municipalities across the province are preparing for government some may be asking themselves: what does this mean for rural municipalities? How will the new cabinet be composed?

To help answer that, we caught up with SARM Acting President Bill Huber. He shares his thoughts on the Moe victory and what this new government means for rural communities across the province.
