Kindersley: Former MLA Ken Francis Becomes Mayor
In Kindersley, former Saskatchewan Party MLA Ken Francis was elected as mayor, taking over from outgoing Mayor Rod Perkins. His entry into municipal politics is seen by many as a continuation of his commitment to public service, and residents appear optimistic about his experience translating into effective leadership.
Francis’ victory brings a veteran perspective to the mayoral office, and his insights from provincial government could benefit Kindersley’s dealings with higher levels of government. The town’s new council will include councillors Rob Anderson, Shaun Henry, Warren Schafer, Randy Ervine, Kevin Martin, and Anthony Barlow, each elected based on their strong showing of community support.
