Ring in 2022 with a Virtual Celebration
Get ready to celebrate virtually on December 31st.
The city is inviting everyone to celebrate the ringing in of the new year with a livestream of music and fireworks at midnight on December 31st, 2021.
The Fireworks will be at midnight over the Calgary Tower and can be viewed online at Calgary.ca/NYE, with a synchronized CJSW 90.9 FM music soundtrack.
The music soundtrack, curated by CJSW 90.9 FM will feature music fromLodgepole Kind,Thomas Thomas and Moonrunner83.
In addition to fireworks at midnight, the city has released a list of events and activities for families and friends to do over the holiday period.

Road Closures/Sidewalk Closure As a result of the fireworks show, from 11:45 p.m. Dec. 31, 2021 to 12:15 a.m. Jan. 1, 2022:
Centre Street S.E., from 6 Avenue S.E. to 9 Avenue S.E., will be closed
9 Avenue S.W., from 1 Street S.W. to 1 Avenue S.E., will be closed
9 Avenue S.W. south sidewalk, in front of the Calgary Tower, will be closed
