Ep. 21 Thomas Lukaszuk

Welcome Back to another episode of the Cross Border Interview Podcast.

If you don’t know by now, my name is Christopher Brown and I’ll be your host.

Since the launch of the podcast I’ve been asked the same thing, why do you do this podcast? And I give everyone the same answer. This podcast is about talking to people in an intimate setting and just having a discussion. Today we find ourselves often becoming keyboard warriors and have forgotten the lost art of the conversation.

So with that in mid 2019 I started this podcast to achieve one goal, get people to have conversations again. With no notes, no prepared questions I sit down with subjects to learn about them, from them.

Today’s guest is no exception to that.

Thomas Lukaszuk, the former Deputy Premier of Alberta, as well as the the former Alberta minister of Education, Enterprise and Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration, and Jobs, Skills, Training and Labour. Along with those titles he held the title of MLA for Edmonton Castle Down’s from 2001 to 2015.

Thomas and I chat about how a call from then former Premier of Alberta Ralph Klein paved his way into politics, we talk about his tenure as an MLA and Cabinet Minister, and working with 5 different premiers during his time in office.

He gives us a peek behind the curtain that was the last years of the Progressive Conservative Government in Alberta.

So with that being said, Enjoy Cross Border interviews Ft. Thomas Lukaszuk
