Episode 323: Draft Curriculum or Crap Curriculum

We are posing another question today.

The Majority of School Boards in Alberta have said No, the opposition has been vocal in it's opposition to it, but the Alberta Government is still looking at moving forward with it's proposed K-6 Draft Curriculum.

According to Alberta Education, Parents and teachers have waited a long time for a curriculum that brings a renewed focus to literacy, numeracy, citizenship and practical skills. The revised and strengthened Kindergarten to Grade 6 (K-6) curriculum gives students a strong base of essential knowledge for future learning.

We chat with educator Wade Hutchinson who talks about his views on the proposed draft curriculum, the good the bad and the ugly of the draft curriculum, and where this heads as we are just over 26 months away from the next provincial election.

So todays question is, "Is the new draft curriculum good or bad?"
