OPINION: Thank You!

600 Episodes Later, We Finally Found Our Show, Our Voice, and Our Mission!

In the ever-evolving landscape of podcasting, it is a moment of immense pride and gratitude as we celebrate reaching 600 episodes of the Cross Border Interviews.

This milestone would not have been possible without the continuous support of our cherished listeners, the invaluable contributions of our esteemed guests, and the unwavering dedication of all those who have played a part in making this show a resounding success.

As we embarked on this journey, we noticed a growing enthusiasm among our audience in hearing municipal leaders discuss their duty to serve, their communities, and themselves. Recognizing this demand, we made the bold decision to revamp the show in the fall of 2022, shifting our focus predominantly towards municipal guests and issues in 2023. The response has been phenomenal, with our viewership numbers steadily increasing and the feedback pouring in.

To our loyal listeners who have stuck with us through thick and thin, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your unwavering support and engagement have been the lifeblood of our show. For the past 100 episodes, from Episode 500 to Episode 600, you have tuned in, watched, provided valuable feedback, and shared our show with friends, community members, and like-minded individuals who believe in the importance of highlighting municipal issues. Your advocacy has been instrumental in spreading our message far and wide.

From Vancouver Island to the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, from the northernmost town in the Northwest Territories to the southern tip of Ontario, and every corner in between, you have warmly welcomed me and my guests into your ears and eyes. I am truly honoured that you take time out of your day to listen to our conversations and stories. Your support has been the driving force behind our continued growth and success.

While we embark on a tour of some of the incredible communities that have graced our show, I want to assure you that our journey doesn't end here. We will be back on September 4th with more captivating episodes, exclusive YouTube content, and inspiring stories from across the country. I understand that taking a month-long hiatus might be perceived as a risk, but I am confident that you will be here waiting when we return.

In the meantime, stay tuned to our social media feeds, website, and podcast channels, as you may be pleasantly surprised by some randomly dropped episodes over the next six weeks.

Before we head out, I want to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to the 100 municipal leaders who have graced our show from coast to coast to coast. You may not have known me from Adam, but I was humbled and honoured to have the opportunity to share your stories. Your commitment to public service and your dedication to your communities inspire us all.

To the municipal leaders in the provinces of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec, get ready, for I am coming your way with my live recording equipment in tow. If you want to participate in the show and be a part of the Cross Border Interviews, please don't hesitate to message, DM, or email us. We eagerly anticipate adding your unique perspective to our discussions.

Being "Municipally Focused, Municipally Minded, Community Oriented" is the essence of local elected leadership. As we continue to amplify municipal voices and shed light on the crucial issues facing our communities, we are grateful for your ongoing support.

Together, let us build a stronger, more connected society, one conversation at a time.
