Earlier in June, we held a political discussion about the Green Party of Canada, and in that conversation I expressed my views that "Israel had that right to defend itself".
Since that show aired I was called a Zionist, and had one person say I supported genocide of the Palestinian people.
As someone who has never really understood what a Zionist meant, I reached out to Ariella Kimmel to get her take on the word, and help break down some of the questions I had over being a Zionist, the rise of anti-semitic hate in Canada, and why no political party is perfect in it's support of the state of Israel.
