Welcome to a special episode of the Cross Border Interviews. My name is Chris Brown and I’ll be your host for this exciting episode.

Today we are dedicating this episode to the Alberta 2023 Provincial Election. With just 29 days left until the big day, tensions are running high as citizens across the province gear up to make their voices heard.

But it's not just individuals who are invested in this election; municipalities across Alberta are also paying close attention to what the candidates have to say.

From rural towns to bustling cities, local governments are hoping to hear concrete plans and promises from those seeking to lead the province.

Today, we'll be speaking with representatives from Alberta Municipalities (Vice President of Cities Under 500,000 Wetaskiwin Mayor Tyler Gandam), and the Rural Municipalities of Alberta (Ponoka County Reeve Paul McLauchlin) to get their perspectives on what they're hoping to hear from the candidates and party leaders. We'll be discussing a range of topics, from healthcare, economic development and, infrastructure.

With so much at stake in this election, it's important for both voters and politicians to stay informed and engaged.
