In Vermilion, Alberta, a new chapter is beginning — and it comes with a familiar name.
On Monday, October 20th, residents went to the polls and placed their trust in Robert Snow — electing him as the town’s next Mayor with a strong majority.
Snow, a first-term councillor before his mayoral run, secured 1,017 of the 1,276 votes cast for the position. Now, he steps into leadership with a mix of experience and fresh perspectives on council.
Returning councillors Paul Conlon and Kevin Martin will join Snow at the table once again, alongside newly elected councillors Kellen Snelgrove, Bruce MacDuff, Justin Clark, and Sherry Martin.
Together, this new team will guide Vermilion into the future — tackling the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the growing community.
So what direction will Mayor Snow and his council take? What priorities emerged during the campaign — and what can residents expect from this new term at Town Hall?
Today, we find out. We’re honoured to sit down with Vermilion’s new Mayor — Mayor Robert Snow.
