Welcome to the Political Trenches Local Government At Work.
We’re back in the trenches looking at the stories and issues that are shaping municipalities from coast to coast to coast.
We are continuing our dive into the role of the CAO, we are honoured to be joined by a Pat ‘The Legend’ Vincent, a former CAO who after 52 years in public administration, has called it a career, but it’s one part of his career we will be diving into today.
But to kick us off our rundown today includes, New Brunswick MLA’s are backing the New Brunswick's Local Governance Commission call for mandatory training for municipal councillors and officials, then we head to Vancouver Island where Nanaimo council has choosen not to provide letter of support for proposed community health centre, and then finally we head to the land of the living skies where last week the Town of Esterhazy council votes not to absorb Village of Yarbo.
