I have spoken with leaders in Winnipeg’s Jewish community to express my support. Our thoughts are especially with residents of Winnipeg’s sister city, Be’er Sheva, during this time of crisis."

Vancouver Mayor Ken Sims assured that the City of Vancouver stood with its Jewish community, saying, "The City of Vancouver will always stand with our Jewish community. We unequivocally condemn this act of terrorism by Hamas against Israeli civilians. Our hearts are with all those who have been impacted."

Whitehorse Councillor Ted Laking, condemned the attacks as a reminder of the evils of antisemitism, saying, "The invasion of Israel by terrorists this morning is a shocking reminder of the evils of antisemitism. Innocent civilians, including children, are being targeted through acts of violence. I condemn these attacks and stand with Israel as it defends itself."
