Vol. 2 Ep. 15 Esmahan Razavi

Esmahan Razavi believes that supporting women in politics is critical to creating a more equitable world. She has devoted much of her time to this cause, championing women across party lines.
Esmahan was a steering committee member for Equal Voice Alberta South, where she co-ran the #Campaign101 initiative to support women participating in the 2019 Alberta provincial election.
Prior to that she co-founded and served as President of Ask Her, an organization committed to electing more women to city council in Calgary. She was also Chair of the Women in Politics committee for the Canadian Federation of Business and Professional Women.
In 2018, she flew to Kyrgyzstan to consult on gender equality in politics for the National Democratic Institute of International Affairs.
Chatelaine magazine selected Esmahan as one of the top 33 women in Canada for 2017, for her work in empowering women.
Esmahan has extensive experience in politics. She has been a staffer, candidate and campaign manager. As a racialized woman Esmahan knows firsthand the value diversity and inclusion bring to politics and wants to ensure the future of Equal Voice is inclusive of all voices. She will work hard to build upon Equal Voice’s work to elect more women to all orders of government.
