Yahoo! Trudeau Rides into Calgary for Stampede
Calling it the Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth, Prime Minister Trudeau started his Sunday morning in North East Calgary with local Member of Parliament George Chahal and Federal Minister of Tourism Randy Boissonnault before moving onto the Calgary Stampede.
In a sea of cowboy hats, Trudeau arrived to a throng of attendees wanting photos and selfies with the Canadian Prime Minsiter.
Speaking to a crowd of approximately 300 people, Trudeau said that it was great to be back and see everyone, "It's great to see everyone here, and be with so many happy people.
"This is a moment to gather and celebrate the ability to gather once again," he added.
The Prime Minister added that the Calgary Stampede is a great event not only for the people of Calgary but for all Canadians and people across the globe,"This is an extraordinary time for people to gather from across the country, to enjoy pancakes and celebrate everything about Calgary."
Trudeau said that he was incredible proud to be back in Calgary with MP Chahal.
During the stop in Calgary Skyview Trudeau flipped a few pancakes, took selfies with those in attendance, and then departed for the Calgary Stampede with Minister of Tourism Boissonnault.
