Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche set for March 15th

The race for the next MLA for Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche is now underway. With March 15th set as the by-election date.

“Today is the deadline for a writ to be issued. It was just approved by cabinet and should be signed by the lieutenant-governor by now or very shortly. It then goes to Elections Alberta for the formal issue,” Kenney said.

Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche has been vacant since August of 2021 when then MLA Laila Goodridge resigned to run for the federal Conservatives.
